Key 103

Title of Programme/ time scheduled: Mike & Chelsea in the morning, scheduled at 6.00 - 10.00

Presenters voice: made to sound friendly to keep the audience listening, use the words 'we' and 'us' to make the listener believe the presenters are talking personally to them,

Expert Interview:

Vox Pops: Used during different topics to give the listeners views of the public to relate to.

Music: Played regularly for entertainment, past and present music to attract a wider audience.
Sound Effects: Use stings to promote the show (Key 103), use jingles for different parts of the show, music bed for news.

Intertextuality:

Mode of Address: Zoo format - makes them sound more friendly and gets the audience to get involved in conversations.

Links to other media: the audience can phone, text and email into the show, they can follow the show on twitter and facebook, the audience are able to visit a website to relisten to all shows and also watch the presenters through a live webcam in the studio, can also invlove yourself in competitions and charity events set up etc. the audience can look at videos of live interviews with celebrities.

It's aim is to enrich people's lives with programmes that inform, educate and entertain.

Title of programme/time of schedule: The Chris Moyles Show - 6.30-10.00 weekdays.

Presenters voice and what they say: Voice made to sound friendly, invites you to listen, lots of jokes to entertain but with important information like the news, uses words like, 'us', 'we' and 'you/your' to make it sounds like th presenters are talking personally to the listener.

Music: Jingles, songs played between conversations for entertainment.

Sound effects: Stings ('Chris Moyles Show' repeated), Music Bed,

Why it appeal to its audience: Used for...Information e.g. news, celebrities etc, Entertainment to relax and enjoy, Intergration to relate to others (the zoo format helps the audience relate to them from everyday life) and maybe Diversion for people to listen to the radio and escape from the daily routine and enjoy themselves with something else. Could come into Maslows Hierachy of needs under Belongingness and Love Needs as people might listen to it to get into a group at work/school so that they can join in the conversation and not feel left out.
